Simple Steps to Creating Your Headshot Online


1- SELECT SIZE

Options are available for 4x6, 5x7, 8x10, 8.5x11, 9x12, 11x14, 11x17, business card, postcard, and ZED card.



2- SELECT FORMAT

Many border options are available: white, black, sloppy borders, scroll down to see them all. The last option is a bleed, no border. Pick this if your image is already setup with a border and name.



3- UPLOAD YOUR FILE

A dialog box will ask you to upload your photo.

Find where your image is - on CD or your hard drive.

Double click the file and the upload will begin. Make sure the file you choose is the high res JPG, otherwise your image will look pixelated when printed. Your JPG's compressed file size should be under 8MB. (Please note that the UNCOMPRESSED size can be larger. For a complete explanation of JPG files please click the link below.)

As the file uploads it will convert to a format that will allow you to do further design. Please wait for the conversion to complete.

HOW TO CHECK YOUR FILES



4- CROPPING

Move your mouse over the image.

In the top left corner is a zoom dial. Moving it will zoom your photo in and out. On the bottom right side is a rotate button to turn your image in 45 degree increments. Check the image quality meter that appears on the bottom left of your image.



5- TEXT

The next step asks if you want your name or any text on the image. Clicking YES will allow you to enter any text you want to appear on the photos. Then you can position each line of text by clicking and dragging it anywhere you like.

Make sure you move all lines to the positions you like.

On the right side is a drop down box of FONT selections to choose from.

Below that is a slider to increase or decrease the text size.

Below that you can choose different colors for the text.

You can choose a different font and color for each line. Please allow a few seconds for changes to appear.



6- KEYLINE & LOGO

You can add a KEYLINE around the image. Clicking on a color picks the color, the red X removes it.

Keylines are not available on Rough borders or Borderless templates.

To add an agency logo, choose the first letter from the drop down box.

All logos are aranged alphabetically A-Z. To choose "New Century", you will pick "N-R" from the list. Then choose the agent you want. Use the slider to size the logo.

Click and drag the logo to place it anywhere.

When finished, or if you don't need a logo just click next.



7- RETOUCHING

To request retouching, simply mark the areas with the highlighter. Small areas to be softened can be indicated with a straight line.

Bigger areas to be removed can be circled and crossed out.

If you make a mistake, you can start over by clicking CLEAR LINES, or you can remove individual lines by moving them off the photo.

To move lines, simply click and drag them to a new spot.

Click next to continue.

Retouching requires 1 full business day.



8- CONFIRM ORDER

Click ADD TO CART to finalize your design. PLEASE NOTE: You will not be able to return to this design after this point.



9- TYPE OF REPRODUCTION

Choose either PHOTO or LITHO.

We reccomend ordering a test print before ordering a quantity. This will allow you to see color, density and retouching if requested. Choose the quantity of prints you'd like.

You can print your resume on the back of your lithos for an additional 25% of the printing cost. Or an additional image on the back for 50%. Resumes need to be 1 page in length and in Adobe PDF format.

To add your resume, click BROWSE and locate the PDF file on your computer. This option is available on 8x10 and 8.5x11 templates only, and is not available on photo reproductions.

To print images on both sides of your prints, choose YES on the double sided option. Now you will be directed back to the design process. This option is not available on photo reproductions.



10- SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

Use the special instructions section to give us more detail about your order. this could include requesting color to B&W or sepia conversions, custom color correction for problem files or anything else except retouching notes. please remeber that some requests will incur a $25 custom correction fee.



11- SHOPPING CART

The shopping cart is a total of all products ordered. To add more products click ADD NEW ITEM, click EMPTY CART to erase all products. When you are finished click PLACE ORDER.



12- ORDER OPTIONS

Select the turnaround option you prefer. There are 2 rush services available if you are in a hurry. Normal turnaround times are

Test Prints: 2 Business Days                                                                          

Litho Orders: 3 Business Days

Photo Orders: 3 Business Days

Choose to either pickup your order at either of our 4 locations or we can ship to your door in a variety of ways. If you select shipping, enter the ZIP code of your shipping address.



13- BILLING & SHIPPING INFORMATION

Enter your email and billing address.

Select your shipping method (varies by state) and type the address you would like the package shipped to.

Confirm the order details before proceeding.



14- CREDIT CARD INFORMATION

Enter your credit card info to our secure server and your finished.
